Oxford Learning Awarded AdvancED Corporation Accreditation
(London, Ontario – July 1, 2010) – Dr. Nick Whitehead announced today that Oxford Learning was granted AdvancED Corporation Accreditation from the AdvancED Accreditation Commission, the national commission that confers accreditation. This means that Oxford Learning is accredited and recognized across the nation as a quality education corporation. The corporation works with its corporate-owned or franchised schools to achieve school-level accreditation.
The AdvancED accreditation process involves three ongoing components: 1) meeting high quality standards; 2) implementing a continuous process of improvement; and 3) engaging in quality assurance through internal and external review. The corporation’s accreditation is for a five-year term with regular monitoring of progress and reporting occurring during the term.
“Corporation Accreditation as conferred by the AdvancED Accreditation Commission provides Oxford Learning a nationally-recognized mark of quality for our corporation,” shared Dr. Nick Whitehead. “It demonstrates to our parents, students, and education partners our commitment to excellence, our openness to external review and feedback, and our desire to be the best we can be on behalf of the students we serve.”
Dr. Mark Elgart, President/CEO of AdvancED, stated, “Corporation Accreditation is a quality process that focuses the corporate-level on student success and corporation and school effectiveness. Oxford Learning is to be commended for engaging in this process and demonstrating a commitment to continuous improvement.”
