King Charles III Coronation Medal

Oxford Learning Brooklin Franchisee Trisha Dosaj received a King Charles III Coronation Medal for her work with MADD (Mothers Against Drunk Driving).
This organization holds a special place in her heart, as in 2013, she and her daughter, along with her sister and niece, were hit by an impaired driver. Trisha and her daughter were seriously injured, and her sister and niece tragically lost their lives.
Trisha began volunteering with MADD Durham Region in 2016 and joined the Board of Directors initially as the Director of Victim Services.
In 2020, she became MADD Durham’s Chapter President, a position she still holds.
As Chapter President, she is involved in many aspects of the MADD organization, including:
- Fundraising
- Public Education and Awareness
- Victim Support
- Participation in sobriety checkpoints/RIDE lines
- Media Appearances
- Speaking engagements at various community groups, charities, and organizations
- Presenting at high schools across the region for the Project Safe Prom Initiative, where she shares her story with thousands of graduating students about the importance of driving sober.
Trisha’s story is being shared in approximately 1,000 schools across Canada as part of MADD Canada’s School Program, “One Last Dance." Learn more.
“I do all of this because I'm still here. I survived,” says Trisha. “I want to help stop impaired driving, to support victims of this violent crime, and to remember and honour my family.”
The King Charles III Coronation Medal is given to recipients who have made a significant contribution to Canada or to a particular province, territory, region or community of Canada or have made an outstanding achievement abroad that brings credit to Canada. Congratulations to Trisha on this remarkable achievement and her ongoing work with MADD Canada and MADD Durham Region.
