Glenn Sutter - Musician and song writer
Glenn Sutter is a seasoned and versatile musician who uses thoughtful lyrics and moving folk-rock melodies to tell stories and express ideas about nature, love, and the human condition. Inspired by human experiences and the troubled state of our world, Sutter’s recent efforts explore the value of friends and family, and the importance of treading lightly on the Earth. Through a growing catalogue of beautifully crafted, often personal songs, he just wants to help people think about Nature, relationships, and other things that matter.
Kathy Bachmann – Author and Teacher
A retired school teacher who often entertained her nieces and nephews with stories she made up has published two books and has three more in the works. She will read from her second book, Look Out Timmy! and speak about the craft of writing and how she has been inspired to tell her stories. Her stories are adventure stories full of action and excitement and intended to inspire children to read. Currently, Kathy works at Oxford Learning to help students get off to that all important start in their reading.
LeeAnne Benjamin – Invisible Gas Experiments
LeeAnne is an elementary teacher who has taught in a variety of countries including Japan and Venezuela and she is currently teaching English as an Additional Language in Saskatoon. For two years she worked with SCI-FI Science Camps were she developed and delivered innovative science programming for elementary students across Saskatchewan. Through these hands-on workshops and camps students had the opportunity to explore science in a fun and interactive way. Whether it is Science or English, LeeAnne enjoys making learning relevant and fun! On March 13th LeeAnne will guide children as they discover an invisible gas that will be the fuel for miniature rockets and fire extinguishers that they will build!
Mikhaila Hardy – Balloon Animals by Sock Monkey
Mikhaila is no stranger to Oxford Learning as she grew up in our centre while her Mom was our education coordinator. An ambitious teenager, Mikhaila taught herself the art of balloon animal crafting. Once she had perfected this skill, she was engaged by many to attend birthday parties and barbeques to make animals for the children. We are fortunate that her schedule allowed her to come to Oxford to entertain you with her balloon animals.

Designed with a difference and designed to make a difference, Oxford Learning programs bring an enhanced approach to what is commonly known as “tutoring.”
Most supplemental educators or tutors focus on the basic academic skills — reading, writing, spelling, grammar and math — or concentrate on the particular curriculum subject that is causing the current concern. Oxford Learning’s programs get to the root of the problem and correct it for lasting, far-reaching results.
