Hi! My name is Raadhika. This is my story.
As a child, I struggled to understand some academic concepts. My grades reflected this. I saw my parents trying multiple strategies and seeking guidance from my teachers, but I couldn’t quite understand how to help myself. All I knew was that I had to try my hardest to fix something – I didn’t know what needed to be fixed. Neither did my parents, but that didn’t stop them.
I also knew that my brother was incredibly intelligent. He could listen to or read new information once and receive high grades in school, which increased his self-esteem and confidence. He needed his academics to be adjusted to his learning style and pace, just like I did, but in a very different way.
I observed how my parents approached my brother and me with our academics. Two children from the same family – and yet - both learn, process and succeed in completely different ways. I saw how much they cared and how hard they tried to provide the best for their children.
I know plenty of families struggle with this challenge in their own way. I can also understand how this challenge could create hardship for the parents of these children.
That’s my reason for choosing this role at Oxford Learning. I now have resources that allow me to learn information that helps identify why several children cannot learn or process information in a socially accepted way. I know that my parents would have had comfort in knowing how my mind worked and that there wasn’t something “wrong” with me. They would have found comfort in their new knowledge, and they would have been able to approach me with strategies and support because they would receive them for themselves.
My mission is to bring families together by discovering the challenges their children are facing. As I provide an assessment of each student, I can help identify cognitive and behavioural gaps that negatively impact a child’s ability to learn in school. After I learn about these gaps, I share my findings with the parents and use this information to create a personalized program for that child.
~
Before choosing this role, I taught in the public school system after earning my undergraduate degree in Business and Society and my postgraduate degree in Primary Education Studies.

I hold a Master's degree in Physics. Prior to joining our Oxford Learning team, I was a math and physics teacher at a high school. I also had practical industrial experience using my education in Physics. After retiring as a high school teacher, I joined Oxford Learning to continue my passion for teaching and to guide students of all ages.
I provide a practical and focused introduction of math concepts, covering fundamental analysis and application throughout the lesson. My lessons focus more on "why" which is always followed by helping students to develop a deep, generalized understanding of math and physics concepts. I use strong communication skills to share this knowledge and motivate and instruct students to make math subjects more enjoyable. Students learn how new math concepts are being connected to what they have already learned.

I have completed my undergraduate studies, majoring in French with a minor in psychology. I have always loved expressing myself in French, and seeing students at Oxford Learning do the same brings me so much joy. I strive to work with students to improve their confidence in reading as well as oral and written French.
