Hello! My name is Katherine, and I am thrilled to be a part of the Oxford Learning team in Bradford. I graduated from Ontario Tech University with a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry and am working towards my Chemical Laboratory Technician Certification. I’m very passionate about encouraging and educating students about STEM and firmly believe there are no silly questions, only opportunities for learning, understanding, and cultivating a culture of curiosity and open-mindedness. I enjoy teaching math. I hope to ignite that spark of curiosity into a lifelong passion for learning. One of my favourite words in the English language is curious, embodying the desire to investigate and learn about the world around us. If I were a superhero, my superpower would be predicting the future, ensuring I save the day before anyone even realizes it needs saving. My secret talent that no one knows about is my ability to remember seemingly useless facts. Did you know that flamingos can drink nearly boiling water?. During my spare time, I enjoy knitting, solving jigsaw puzzles, and reading books. There’s nothing more exhilarating than reading a transportive fantasy or science-fiction book. Currently, my favourite book is Project Hail Mary" by Andy Weir, and my favourite movie is Encanto - I can’t resist a musical.

Hi! My name is Fareeha, and I am very happy to be a part of the Bradford Oxford Learning team. I grew up in Dublin, Ireland and graduated with a BA Hons in French, German, and Japanese. I love learning languages and teaching them!
My favourite word in the English language is mellifluous. It sounds nice and means the same - pleasant to hear! If I was a superhero, my superpower would be to be able to speak all languages in the world. My secret talent is solving the Rubik’s cube in one minute, and my comfort book series is Harry Potter. I love teaching, and my absolute favourite part is seeing the kids’ proud smiles when they do well!

Mon mot préféré en français est chouchouter. Il signifie dorloter ou traiter avec complaisance et il est amusant à dire! Hi! My name is Jennifer, and I am eager to be part of the Oxford Learning team in Bradford. I completed the Computer Science Specialist program with a minor in Mathematics at the University of Toronto. I'm passionate about debunking the myth that math doesn't make sense! I like to swim, play video games, and watch TV shows in my spare time. My all-time favourite movie is The Matrix, but I also love Pixar movies such as Coco and Inside Out. My favourite word in the English language is recursion because it is a powerful tool for solving algorithms and a great approach for tackling any kind of problem. Recursion is all about breaking down the big, overwhelming problem into smaller, more manageable pieces and then solving each one until the larger problem is conquered. Therefore, my goal as a teacher is to empower students by guiding them through this step-by-step process and helping them build the skills they need to tackle obstacles with confidence.

Hello! My name is Anastasiya, and I am delighted to be part of the Oxford Learning team in Bradford! My passion in life is defined by the famous proverb, “The unexamined life is not worth living,” which is a sentiment that I carried with me as I completed my Hons B.A. in Philosophy and minor in History during my post-secondary studies at Nipissing University. I likewise intend to instill a similar love of learning into every student that I have the privilege to teach. I believe that having the ability to learn about the world around us is a superpower in itself, and I am proud to be able to guide students through their learning journeys at Oxford Learning. I am also excited to have the opportunity to help students build their confidence in learning different languages, having also completed a minor in French along with my other degrees. If I had to pick my favourite word from the English language, it would have to be the adjective flabbergasted, meaning “to be greatly surprised or astonished.” It is a word that I would love to hear used more often.
Salut!
