Leanne Salton

Owner and Centre Director

Leanne holds both a degree in English Literature from Wilfrid Laurier University and a Bachelor of Education degree from the University of Queensland, Australia. She has 14 years of experience working in the field of tutoring and has taught at private schools in both Canada and Britain. She believes that building students' confidence through academic improvement is the key to successful lifelong learning. She has travelled to over 20 countries, has lived in four continents and loves to spend time with friends and family.

Breanne Salmon

Education Director (Certified Assessor)

Breanne holds an Honours Bachelor of Science in Biology and Psychology from Wilfrid Laurier University. She is a certified assessor who loves creating a friendly and educational environment to welcome Oxford Learning parents and students alike. Prior to joining the Oxford Learning team, Breanne was the English Department Head for a private school in Seoul, South Korea and lived in Asia for 5 years. In her spare time, Breanne loves photography, cooking, and travelling the world (she’s been around the world three times!).

Teresa Wong-Querijero

Centre Manager (Certified Assessor)

Teresa received her Bachelor of Arts from York University in 2005 and has been working at Oxford Learning since then. Prior to Clarkson, she worked at another Oxford Learning location for 13 years, where she was an Education Coordinator and a Little Readers Teacher. Her passion is teaching and lending a hand to the students and watching their "light-bulb" light up with understanding.

Teresa has two boys who always keep her on her toes! When she's able to take a break, you'll either find her baking yummy treats or sitting back and reading a good book.

Ariane Pragasam

Beyond Tutoring, Destination français and Advantage

Ariane has been tutoring French, English, and math for almost ten years. She started with younger children and has enjoyed helping them grow as students and as people as she did as a teacher. She graduated from McMaster University with a Bachelor's in Social Psychology, a Minor in French Studies and a McMaster/Mohawk Affiliated Certificate in Applied Behaviour Analysis: she tries to use the skills she learned there in her teaching. She strongly believes in encouraging her students to push themselves and be the best they can be, and she enjoys finding new ways to connect with the students who cross her path. In her free time, Ariane loves spending time with her dog, watching movies and TV shows with her sister, and reading new mystery books!

Dante La Penna

Little Readers & Destination français

Dante has been a teacher at Oxford Learning Clarkson since July 2021, working mainly with students in our Little Readers program and as a French teacher for students in our centre enrolled in the Destination français program. In June 2022, Dante graduated with an Honours Bachelor of Arts from the University of Toronto Mississauga, with a French Teaching & Learning degree. He is currently studying at the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education to become a certified French Teacher, and he is optimistic about the young minds that he will have the privilege to teach in the future classroom. You can find him taking long outdoor walks when he is not wearing his teacher hat at Oxford Learning. Some hobbies of his include music and singing - either listening to music on the radio or YouTube or singing a song that he cannot get out of his head! It has been many years since he last travelled to Europe, and he would love to one day return and speak new languages that he has learned or is currently learning.
