I began my journey with Oxford Learning in August 2008, joining the St. Thomas centre as a teacher. What started as a way to gain teaching experience quickly reshaped my path as an educator. During my time as both a teacher and Education Coordinator, I developed a passion for the Oxford Learning philosophy and knew I wanted to be part of it in a bigger way.
In 2015, I proudly became the Owner and Centre Director of the St. Thomas location, followed by the London Bostwick centre in 2024. I hold a B.A. (Hons) and a B.Ed., and have experience teaching with TVDSB as both a classroom and supply teacher.
The best parts of my day include witnessing those unforgettable “aha!” moments when a concept finally clicks and watching students’ confidence soar as they begin to recognize what they are capable of. I also deeply value the relationships we build with families and feel incredibly grateful to play a role in each student’s learning journey.
Having experienced firsthand that learning is not one-size-fits-all, I am especially passionate about supporting students with ADHD and other diverse learning profiles. I believe that every student has the ability to learn and that the right approach can make all the difference.
When I’m not at the centre, you’ll usually find me spending time with my family, chasing after my six-year-old son, enjoying time with friends, getting lost in a good book, or appreciating the occasional well-earned nap.

Encouraging and nurturing children has been a passion of mine for as long as I can remember. From babysitting, to teaching, to parenting and now grandparenting, supporting children has always shaped both my time and my purpose. I hold both a B.A. and a B.Ed., and have been proud to be part of the Oxford Learning team since 2013. As Education Director, helping to guide students in their learning journeys is truly exciting and rewarding for me.
There is little more thrilling than witnessing a child see themselves as a reader for the first time, or watching a student realize that a challenging math concept is not so hard after all.
When I’m not forging new relationships during the Learning Profile process, sharing student progress at meetings, or coaching students during class hours, you will often find me enjoying time with family and friends at my trailer on the shores of Lake Erie. I also enjoy walks, reading, drawing, and puzzles - both at the trailer and at home in downtown London.
In my work with students, I always endeavour to understand who they are as individuals. I want every student to know they are seen, heard, and understood - and that I am always cheering them on as they accomplish great things.

I became a teacher because I wanted to make a difference for students who needed a little extra support, especially those who might otherwise slip through the cracks. Having been tutored myself as a child, know firsthand how much it can mean to have someone believe in you and take the time to help things click.
I hold a B.A. and B.Ed. from Lakehead University, with a focus in English and Social Sciences.
My favourite part of working at Oxford Learning is connecting with students in small groups and giving them the attention they deserve. I love using what I know to help students develop a deeper understanding of the English language and work toward their learning goals.
When I first joined Oxford Learning as a teacher, I never imagined I would become the Education Coordinator, but I am so grateful for the opportunity. In this role, I not only support students in reaching their goals, but also cheer on our incredible teachers and help create a safe, supportive, and engaging learning environment alongside Jen and Kathy.
At Oxford Learning, my goal is to ensure every student feels seen, encouraged, and excited to discover what they are capable of.

As someone who has always had a passion for both helping others and learning, I am committed to providing students with an engaging, interactive, and supportive learning experience. I have been part of the Oxford Learning team for the past two years. Whether I am helping students strengthen their math or language skills, my goal is to build their confidence and show them what they are truly capable of.
I hold a B.A. in General Psychology, an ECE diploma, a B.Ed., and several Additional Qualifications, which allow me to work with students of all ages.
My favourite part of working at Oxford Learning is getting to know my students and chatting about their interests. There is nothing better than seeing their personalities shine through while they grow in confidence.
When I am not at Oxford Learning, you will likely find me on a sports field or court, whether playing pickleball, golf, or basketball, or relaxing with video games. I bring that same positive energy and sense of teamwork into my teaching, encouraging students to stay positive, take risks, and celebrate their progress, no matter how small.
A fun fact about me is that I was once a student at Oxford Learning myself. I learned from the best, including Jen, Kathy, and Megan, and I am dedicated to creating an interactive and supportive environment where students feel safe, involved, and excited to learn.

Students sit at a pivotal point in their formative years and throughout high school, where the confidence, academic ability, and critical thinking they develop can have a lasting impact on the trajectory of their lives. I am deeply passionate about teaching because it allows me to equip young minds with both the skills and belief needed to succeed in future academic and professional pursuits. I have been part of the Oxford Learning team for nearly two years.
Having spent much of my life in academic environments, I understand the hurdles students face when navigating material that may feel intimidating, as well as the impact that clear guidance and encouragement can have.
My favourite part of working at Oxford Learning is seeing students build confidence in their abilities and begin to approach challenges with a stronger sense of capability.
With a background in the Bachelor of Medical Sciences (BMSc) program at Western University, a degree grounded in mathematics and the sciences, I am well-equipped to teach high school math, biology, chemistry, and physics in an engaging and accessible way. It is incredibly rewarding to see students carry that confidence and academic strength into the paths they ultimately choose to pursue.

I am dedicated to helping students build their skills and confidence in a way that makes learning both productive and rewarding. I have been part of the Oxford Learning team for the past year. Whether tackling complex math problems or exploring scientific concepts, I strive to make lessons clear, engaging, and tailored to each student’s needs.
My favourite part of working at Oxford Learning is seeing students master a concept that once challenged them. Watching that growth, both academically and personally, is one of the most rewarding parts of teaching and a key reason I was drawn to Oxford Learning.
My experience includes tutoring a variety of subjects in French, including math, geography, history, and French language studies. I hold a B2-level DELF certification and am studying Biochemistry and Chemistry at Western University.
At the centre, I work to create a structured, supportive environment where students feel encouraged to ask questions, think critically, and take ownership of their learning. I take pride in helping students step out of their timid shells and grow into confident, capable learners who can apply their skills independently.
Outside of Oxford Learning, I enjoy reading, working out, and going for runs. Staying active helps me stay focused, and I bring that same determination into my teaching approach.

I am pursuing a career in teaching because I believe in creating learning spaces where every student feels seen, valued, and capable of success. I completed my undergraduate degree at Western University with a double major in Sociology and Criminology and am currently pursuing my Bachelor of Education at Nipissing University. My academic background has strengthened my understanding of how social contexts shape learning and the importance of creating a positive, judgment-free environment where students feel comfortable asking questions.
Although I am new to Oxford Learning, I have quickly embraced the philosophy and collaborative spirit of the centre.
My favourite part of working at Oxford Learning is building meaningful relationships with students and watching their confidence grow as they begin to trust their own abilities.
I am passionate about helping students feel supported while developing the skills they need to succeed.

I bring over 25 years of experience in adult education, ESL, and English for Academic Purposes, having worked with learners in both Canada and Mexico. After many years in post-secondary education, I chose to transition into K–12 teaching to address the literacy gaps and confidence challenges I have consistently observed, and the long-term impact these gaps can have on students’ academic, professional, and personal trajectories.
I am currently a Junior/Intermediate teacher candidate at Western University, specializing in French. I hold a Bachelor of Arts in French and a Bachelor of Education in Adult Education from Brock University and am an OCELT-certified educator.
As a recent addition to the Oxford Learning team, I have quickly come to appreciate the centre’s thoughtful and supportive approach to learning.
My favourite part of working at Oxford Learning is providing intentional guidance that helps students build both competence and confidence.
In an increasingly complex and distraction-rich world, I believe students benefit from clear expectations and meaningful support that foster lifelong learning skills. I also approach teaching as a reciprocal process, learning alongside students whose perspectives continually enrich my work as an educator.
