Oxford Learning helps students start the school year strong with personalized tutoring programs that support confidence, focus, and academic skills.
Hello Oxford Learning families,
The hope of spring and summer is finally here! Although many students see summer as a break from learning, there is no better time to keep the brain active and ready for a new school year. Summer is a great time to catch up or get ahead for next year. Like professional athletes who train all year round, students need to keep their brains active during the “off-season” to continue seeing great results!
Did you know that over the summer holidays, students may:
Your child’s momentum and motivation levels are high right now, so why not continue that success straight through to September? Just a few hours a week can keep your child on track and allow them to keep making amazing academic progress. We set times around your summer schedule to accommodate your busy lives.
Our summer information is attached. Use the attached calendar for July and August to request the days/times that your child will be able to attend. Please advise us if you wish to keep the same schedule, add more hours, or do another subject per need.
We look forward to continuing to help your child make gains over the summer, have fun with learning, and arrive at school in fall, confident and eager to learn!
Sincerely,
Aria Rahimbakhsh

Both Bryn's mum and I are completely astounded and very proud of his progress on not only his academics, but more importantly his confidence and maturity that he has shown to his work these past 12 months. We can confidently say that your team has been a tremendous influence, inspiration and mentor to him. Thank you for your investment in Bryn. It's made a difference which we greatly appreciate. And I'm certain Bryn would agree. Sandy and Tanya R.Sandy and Tanya R.
Hello Janet and the Oxford Learning team, As I recount my high school career at Luther for the past 4 years, Oxford Learning is very present in my mind during my reflection. Ever since starting in the second half of my tenth grade year, Oxford Learning gave me the tools to success that I never would have learned had I wouldn’t have gone to Oxford Learning. Oxford Learning not only taught me skills that helped improve my writing, math, and French skills, it also taught me the importance of time management, study skills, and other small aids that helped me succeed in school. SQ-RCRC is my go-to study method for all my tests and exams! Everyone at Oxford Learning was always encouraging and saw the best in people, even when times were at its worst. I always admired Paige when she had difficult-to-work-with students at the table, and she was able to see the best in people, no matter their lack of work ethic. There was never a time where I doubted any of teachers, as they were always willing to help no matter what. Because of Oxford Learning, the teachers, and its tools, I am happy to say that I will be attending Hult International Business School in San Francisco starting this upcoming fall semester. Thank you for your contributions to furthering students’ academic careers, like mine. My time spent at Oxford Learning will never be forgotten. All the best, MackMack - Oxford Learning student
This letter is in appreciation of the hard work of you and your staff with respect to Matthew’s amazing progress since he has been enrolled with you at Oxford Learning. As a French Immersion student with limited French support available from us, Matthew has moved to the very top of his class due to your support and tutelage. As well, Matthew’s study habits, and confidence has improved significantly, and with your assistance he finds himself at the very top of his class in most subjects. Matthew cherished his time with you and your staff, and we believe he has developed habits that will serve him a lifetime. We do not hesitate to recommend you and your staff to anyone considering Oxford Learning for their children. Michael & Jody SMichael & Jody S
Dear Oxford Learning Staff (from student), You have helped me improve on my reading, math, and helped me build on my self confidence. I have learned a lot of skills that I can also apply to my schoolwork and homework. I have made lots of friends and built on my social skills. If I didn’t come, I would probably still get my “b's” and “d's” mixed up and I might still have messy writing. Oxford Learning has helped me so much. Thank you Oxford Learning staff! From Annika S.Annika S.
I am a past student from your program and I'd like to give a huge thank you for everything. When I started in the program I was just starting grade three and couldn't read, write and could only do a little bit of math. Now I am going into my fourth year of university and just got accepted into a special BFA program that only accepts 8 people a year. I owe a lot of my success in my education and budding career to Oxford Learning. Every skill and exercise that I was taught, and all the time the teachers at Oxford Learning gave to me helped me get to where I am now. I don't think I could have ever got to where I am now in life and in my budding career. Thank you for creating such a wonderful program to help children and people in learning. I am very proud of attending Oxford Learning for the years I have attended. The centre I attended is the one in Regina SK. The teachers and the head instructor of the centre are amazing, they take great pride and care in their students. I know two of the teachers that have taught me are retired now, but a couple of the other instructors I had are still there when I visit. I really hope your CEO takes great pride in the work he has put in that has created an amazing company that helps children reach their full potential. I know without the help from one of his companies I would have never been literate. I really hope the best for Oxford Learning because it holds a special place in my heart. Deciding to send our daughter to Oxford Learning has been one of the best decisions we have made. In two years, attending two times a week, our daughter has gone up 5 reading levels. Upon enrolling her, almost immediately, we noticed an improvement in her self-confidence. This increased confidence enabled her to try harder, not give up, and celebrate what she could do, not just get bogged down in what she couldn't do. We found the staff to be friendly, approachable, knowledgeable, and motivating. Planner meetings were regularly scheduled, providing us with an update on progress. Oxford Learning staff did a lot of extra things – like birthday cards, Christmas gifts and open houses with the opportunity to mingle, visit, and nibble! I would highly recommend Oxford Learning to any parent whose child is struggling in school. Sharon L.Sharon L.
Both my daughters attended the Little Reader program. They loved it! It thoroughly prepared them both for kindergarten. The program taught them the strong phonics they needed to begin reading.Karla M.★★★★★
The Little Readers Program offered at Oxford Learning Regina empowers children to read and write! As a mother of two children that have each completed 3 years of Little Readers, I have watched them literally grow into little readers by age 5. As a parent, I was concerned about my child finding Kindergarten boring or less exciting because of this Oxford Learning Program but with both our children the opposite happened. They were excited to go to school. The confidence to read and write allowed them to embrace more of a leadership role in their classroom. Thank you to Kent, Janet, and the team at Oxford Learning for giving our children the solid academic foundation to build their lifelong learning upon.Amy★★★★★
Oxford Learning saved our sanity when school shut down. At first, we were just looking for something to help bridge the gap while we were doing online learning but we realized that what they do was so much more. Our son struggled with wanting to please his teachers at school and us at home instead of relying on his own ability. We signed up during the shutdown and have done all of his tutoring strictly online even now when everything has opened back up. Our son has thrived in the online environment and the first show of success was this year's teacher already telling us how much he participated in class. Confidence in class has always been noted as a struggle and this is what he has gained with Oxford Learning. We don’t need to be there with him at the computer during tutoring as he focused on and interested in the material while being engaged with his tutor. It feels like the tutors at Oxford Learning care about our son and his success, he feels it too! Having more people on your child’s team is priceless!Laura G.★★★★★

Bonny graduated with a Bachelor of Education Degree focusing on Education of Exceptional Children. She was motivated by a drive to make a difference in the lives of deaf and hard of hearing. Between classes, she would spend her time volunteering in two programs dedicated to the deaf and hard of hearing.
Teaching experiences included assignments with students requiring a prescriptive approach to learning from Pre-Kindergarten through to Grade Twelve over a seven-year period.
The following ten years brought a new approach to learning the philosophy of Montessori Education, for students ages three to thirteen. Bonny fulfilled the roles of Directress and classroom teacher.
Having found and experienced the Oxford Learning approach, which fit into her learning philosophy of treating the learner as a unique individual, she has been a part of it for ten plus years.
When not working to make a difference in the lives of learners she spends time with her adult children, creates food-stuffs from her country garden, takes country walks with her adoring Pyrenees, reads classic literature, plays classical guitar, and tackles home renovation projects.
