Both my elementary school-aged boys started with Oxford Learning this summer, and the results have been outstanding. He had a very thorough assessment that helped pinpoint where he was struggling. The change in the six months since has been incredible to watch. It isn't usually easy for him to warm up to new people, but everyone has been so welcoming and understanding that Oxford Learning is his favourite place to be. I can’t say enough about Oxford Learning Centre. I first used them years ago with our son in Elementary school, and I was immediately impressed by their teaching methods. They taught him how to understand and comprehend the subject. They built his self-esteem and confidence and relieved our fears by allowing him to fully understand the issues he was having. We reached out to Oxford Learning again when our daughter needed assistance in math for Grade 11. Although she has always been a strong student, the pandemic brought new challenges that left her frustrated and fearing she would not do as well as she had in past years. We chose the tutoring program, where she was connected with a top-notch tutor with a Master's in math. She helped turn a frustrating subject into a successful, enjoyable subject. I've had the privilege of attending Oxford Learning from third grade through my first year of university. It is no exaggeration to say that my time here has fundamentally shaped my academic skillset. Oxford Learning's lesson plans are structured with critical thinking in mind and are complimented by a dedicated team of tutors. The community of staff and students has always been a place of comfort for me. It's this nurturing community that motivated me to continue at Oxford Learning as a tutor for the last year and a half. Elise did a thoughtful and thorough assessment to better understand his abilities and was so warm and welcoming to our son and our family. She accommodated our availability and was excellent at communicating about the program and the next steps. The centre was incredibly flexible with rescheduling classes and was very prompt any time we emailed a question. Emily was our main contact point, and she readily gave updates and was open to incorporating any goals or areas we wanted our son to get extra help with based on what we saw at home and heard at school. Our son absolutely loved working with Ms. Ann and was excited to go every week- even asking to go on days he wasn’t scheduled! They truly met him where he was at, took his learning seriously, had a warm approach, and engaged him in fun activities and rewards.
