Areas of measure:

  • Receptive vocabulary
  • Verbal comprehension
  • Langauge skills
  • Visual problem solving
  • Reasoning

Beery-Buktenica Developmental Test of Visual-Motor Integration
(Beery-VMI)

  • Auditory non-contextual memory
  • Memory for digits

BRIGANCE Comprehensive Inventory of Basic Skills II Reading & Writing
The BRIGANCE Comprehensive Inventory of Basic Skills II assesses students’ skills from
kindergarten through high school. It is highly useful for curriculum planning, identifying
essential readiness skills, and determining the level of mastery a student has achieved in key

create a single chart that fits every Core French, French Immersion, or French First Language

strengths and weaknesses and monitor progress. The CIBS II Math inventory provides detailed,
actionable information on a student’s functional and academic math abilities and is often used to
track performance over time.
The results indicate the grade level at which the student performs in relation to the English school
curriculum and provide a detailed breakdown by specific mathematical concepts.

Testimonials

The transition to virtual classes has been absolutely seamless, needless to say that the staff is providing great support with virtual lessons. Thank you for providing online support through the difficult circumstances we are facing. Thank you to the great staff at Oxford Learning Barrhaven.

Our son Dylan has been going to Oxford Learning Barrhaven for a little over two years three nights a week. When Dylan first started there he was in grade 5 and his level was between grade 2 and 3 for math and language. He was struggling so much in school and was not happy. The teachers at Oxford Learning helped him with his confidence so that he can complete his work and not be stressed. He is currently in grade 7 and is now able to do grade 7 math and language! Oxford Learning has helped him so much to get to grade level. He is always happy to go to tutoring and I think a big reason why is how wonderful all his teachers have been over the last two years. Just a week ago he came home from school and had 92% on his math test! We would like to say thank you to all the staff at Oxford Learning and we would highly recommend them if your child is struggling in school. Karen, Danny & Dylan

Oxford Learning Barrhaven has completely changed my child. She has had challenges in math and comprehension for years and was falling behind in a regular classroom setting. It was obvious she needed more personalized instruction to supplement what she was learning in school. I had looked into other similar programs like the ones offered by Oxford Learning, but only Oxford Learning made me feel they were truly invested in my daughter’s learning…and building up her confidence so she could be successful, and overcome the hurdles she faces. After being assessed, we were able to incorporate a program that allowed her to catch up and review material at her own pace. She loves the environment and the teachers. She feels so welcomed and she enjoys attending her classes every week. Her confidence is growing, and she has stopped saying things like “I’m stupid” and “I give up”…. It’s been an amazing transformation. I’m so happy we found Oxford Learning. Consuelo B.

Just wanted to give my feedback on Oxford Learning Centre. It has been such a wonderful journey for my son. He started as a shy, reluctant little boy. I still remember discussing how he was struggling at school, especially with reading and writing, and asked if Oxford Learning can make miracles happen! We laughed! Today, after discussing his progress and seeing all the positive changes in my son, I realize his progress is nothing less than a miracle! He loves his little family at Oxford Learning. Thank you Pamila

The staff at Oxford Learning have had amazing results with our son. We started tutoring after he was diagnosed with a reading disability in Grade 1. His school marks were poor, he was behind the other students, and he felt dumb and discouraged. After only two years of tutoring, he is now reading beyond school levels and reads not only with confidence, but he now likes and looks forward to reading. Shawn and Rachel S.-C.

The tutoring program has transformed my child's high school learning experience. Her grades are climbing, and her confidence in her own ability has grown by leaps and bounds. We tried several tutors before, and none made a real difference. The staff has accommodated our unique scheduling needs, and we're open to online tutoring tailored to us. Thank you!

Very good customer service! They genuinely care about my child. The in-depth assessment from the beginning set my child up for success! My child is always excited to go and it has made such a positive experience in her learning. They work at her level and make her feel successful, something she doesn’t feel at school. What a great approach to help her get caught up!

⭐️Shoutout to Shella Mithani⭐️ ❤️A big shoutout to Shella Mithani and her incredible 3 locations of Oxford Learning. Last year, my son had some pretty big health crisis and missed a tremendous amount of school. Although he missed many days of school, his tutoring sessions at Oxford Learing, ensured he was able to complete all his grade 10 requirements to move up to grade 11. This year, with the exceptional help from Shella and her team, Ayan was able to achieve a 90% overall average. ❤️Shella, thank you for your excellent support to my family over the past year. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
