"Hi, I'm Maheera and I teach English and math at Oxford Learning Centre Maple. Before I joined Oxford Learning, I completed my bachelor of science in mathematics at the University of Calgary, which today, helps me find creative ways to describe and visualize concepts to students.
To me, communicating mathematics is similar to teaching a language. As with learning English, as we progress through language, we add rules and vocabulary to our toolbox, building on our understanding of those numbers or letters and how they interact. The most joyful part of working at Oxford Learning is learning each student's strengths and individual learning styles and finding the best strategies to support them on their learning journey.
