Did you know? Between 62-78% of all students lose academic ground during the summer.
Next year’s school success begins this summer at Oxford Learning.
While most children look forward to summer vacation, the reality is that many students end up being bored over the break. Boredom isn’t the only problem: summer vacation can negatively impact your children’s learning progression.
Statistically, students can lose up to 2 months of reading/writing skills and 2.6 months of math skills every summer. Oxford Learning Mississauga Clarkson offers engaging and beneficial programs that keep students on track academically, occupied during the long summer days, and motivated to start school in the fall.
Think of a child’s brain as a muscle capable of great strength. Without exercise, that muscle will weaken and become incapable of strong performance. Now, think of Oxford Learning as a skilled trainer, working that muscle to get it into top shape, ready for a lifetime of vital use. That’s what Cognitive Development at Oxford Learning can do, and that’s what our summer programs do!
Summer is the only time of the year when academic goals stand still. Take this opportunity to run toward them with our fun and engaging summer learning programs!

“The staff at Oxford Learning Clarkson have worked extremely hard to ensure they could create exactly what students would need to thrive in an online environment. It’s easy to use - a few clicks and you are ready to go. The tutors make the on-line sessions personal and it is a very effective way to learn. It is great to hear what is being worked on during the on-line sessions. It is a very worthwhile experience for our daughter.”Cory S.
"We have found the Oxford Learning Clarkson online program to be wonderful for our son James. Although we can have difficulty getting him motivated for other types of in-home learning, we never have a problem getting him excited for his Oxford Learning sessions - a testament to not only the educational value of the program but also to the ability of the tutors to keep him engaged virtually (no easy feat!) We would happily recommend the virtual learning program through Oxford Learning Clarkson!"Allison G.

Ariane has been tutoring French, English, and math for almost ten years. She started with younger children and has enjoyed helping them grow as students and as people as she did as a teacher. She graduated from McMaster University with a Bachelor's in Social Psychology, a Minor in French Studies and a McMaster/Mohawk Affiliated Certificate in Applied Behaviour Analysis: she tries to use the skills she learned there in her teaching. She strongly believes in encouraging her students to push themselves and be the best they can be, and she enjoys finding new ways to connect with the students who cross her path. In her free time, Ariane loves spending time with her dog, watching movies and TV shows with her sister, and reading new mystery books!

Graduating from the University of Toronto Mississauga with a B.A. Honours in English Literature and History, and from the University of Windsor with a B.Ed., Joseph has worked with students as a tutor and Occasional Teacher since 2011. His passion for teaching grew out of two places: Recognizing the effect having a solid teacher made on his continued learning, be it when struggling with a concept or being pushed towards excellence when focusing on strength, as well as enjoyment and sense of fulfillment that came from helping others reach that "Eureka" moment of understanding. Recognizing the importance of autonomous self-learning, he has continued to brush up on his mathematics skills and even taught himself to play multiple instruments. In his off-time, he enjoys creating music, asking and trying to find answers to questions to sate his curiosity, reading fiction and non-fiction, enjoying the beauty of the outdoors, and appreciating a satisfying meal.

Aayesh can trace his passion for teaching back to his love of sports and coaching children. Instilled with a love for Real Madrid CF early in his childhood, he currently coaches U10 boys soccer in his hometown of Milton, a pursuit he sees as overlapping greatly with being an effective guide in education. Be it academically or on the field, Aayesh strives to have those he guides feel more confident in their environment. Helping students realize they can excel in ways they couldn't previously imagine is one of his greatest joys.
Alongside tutoring and coaching, Aayesh is pursuing an education in the field of practicing orthodontics and doesn't hesitate to help model effective learning strategies and study skills to students that are demanded of him in his own educational journey. In all that he does, he wishes to put a smile on people's faces in whatever way he can. He finds his own smile in the pursuit of good sushi, rewatches of Modern Family, snowboarding on fresh powder, and in the company of his dear cat, Millie.
