Every staff member has been kind and welcoming to my son and me. I highly recommend Oxford Learning Don Valley!

We are very grateful to Oxford Learning Don Valley and teacher Jessica for their professionalism and care. Our daughter, aged 6, was entering Grade 2 last fall 2018 but lacked confidence in her reading and writing. She struggled with both and didn’t want to even try it. Based on a recommendation from a friend, who is also a high school math teacher, we approached Tamiza in the summer of 2018. She did an assessment and made some recommendations which were followed-up with parent review meetings (a total of five this past year). The results have been outstanding and we are very pleased. Let our daughter explain, as she recently wrote, in her own words, in her class; "My friends recently asked why am I so good in school. I said it is Oxford Learning." We plan to continue with Oxford Learning indefinitely and recently enrolled her in the summer camp for a month, as well as continuing with twice-a-week lessons in the other weeks. As Charlie Munger recently opined "If you want one mantra ... figure out what works and do it. You just go at life with that simple philosophy, you’ll find it works wonderfully well." Oxford Learning Don Valley works. Just do it! Paula and Larry

My children (Andre - 13 and Chloe - 18) have been going to Oxford Learning by Victoria Park and Van Horn since a year ago! Tamiza and her team provide the complete package to support my children to succeed in school. They are learning practical, lifelong habits as a foundation to succeed in life, they feel supported by this family outside of home, they feel safe to make mistakes and ask questions, and they look forward to going to Oxford Learning every single week! Thank you, Tamiza and your team

My son was diagnosed with ADHD and I tried every other centre. I was so glad to know Sylvia who suggested I bring him to her learning centre. He started reading and understanding all his subjects in no time. They also gave him the confidence he needs to pursue his dreams and aspirations. Thank you Oxford Learning Don Valley. -Magui

About two years ago, we were recommended by a friend to the Oxford Learning center for our daughter who was starting grade 3 and struggling to keep up with the French immersion program. We tried a private French tutor to help her with her homework, but little progress was made and her confidence was rapidly decreasing in class. The instructors at Oxford Learning gave her an assessment and decided that in order to build her confidence and get better results in school, she would need a stronger foundation to build upon. Through bi-weekly sessions and well-designed lesson plans, our daughter was able to catch up and is now not only getting much better grades but is more confident in her abilities. We are very pleased and feel this has made a huge difference for our daughter and the way she not only performs in but feels about school. Thank you, Oxford Learning!

Sincerely, Kristie F.

Allison had struggled with her Grade Two class since she began. She was particularly weak with reading and writing. She began her class at Oxford Learning this past summer, and so far we have seen great progress with her abilities in spelling, reading comprehension, and writing. As a result, she became more motivated and comfortable in her class, and willing to try new challenges. Her school teachers have also witnessed some of the positive changes, and applaud her improvement. I am very grateful for Allison’s teachers at Oxford Learning: not only did they teach Allison how to study, but they also helped me as a parent to better support my daughter through providing constructive feedback at the progress review meetings.

Thanks to Tamiza and the team at Oxford Learning Don Valley, my son not only has improved his performance in school, his self- esteem and confidence also got a boost in everything he does. Instead of quietly sitting there struggling with homework like in the past, he now takes initiatives to ask questions for clarification and understanding. He used to rush through his school assignments, now he applies the practical skills ingrained in him to organize and convey his thoughts in a structured format. Through the support and guidance of Tamiza and team, he has learned to be a responsible and independent young person thriving in school instead of merely surviving. Highly recommend Oxford Learning Don Valley to give you a peace of mind for your children's learning!

From a student's perspective, Oxford Learning has been one of the most useful tools in my education. They have helped my siblings and me excel in our subjects through constant work between tutors and students. Since tutors sepnd so much time helping students, they naturally form a bond over time which excites to come back.

I was a former Oxford Learning Don Valley student who went in to get help with my English writing. The staff were always welcoming and understanding and always made me feel comfortable! Throughout my experience, I found that they helped me gain confidence in my competencies and build valuable skills that couldto transfer and use in my university studies. I went in to improve my English skills, but I came out with more self-assurance in my work, myself and much more! They were also very flexible and quick to adapt based on what I needed, including extra math and chemistry help. Also, during exam periods, they provided extra support on weekends, which always made me feel more secure in my studying and, in the end, prepared for my exams. They always strive to see the best in their students and help them improve in all aspects, such as learning and life skills (organization, time management, self-confidence, etc.). All in all, I had a great experience with the staff and was able to improve a lot about myself.
