Putting my son in Oxford Learning was the best decision! He has always hated doing work, but the amazing tutors at Oxford Learning Don Valley have really changed his confidence and work habits. He now does his work without hesitation and he is proud of his work! He genuinely enjoys going, and his writing improved drastically! I am beyond amazed and grateful to all the staff there. Our daughter, aged 6, was entering Grade 2 last fall 2018 but lacked confidence in her reading and writing. She struggled with both and didn’t want to even try it. Based on a recommendation from a friend, who is also a high school math teacher, we approached Tamiza in the summer of 2018. She did an assessment and made some recommendations which were followed-up with parent review meetings (a total of five this past year). The results have been outstanding and we are very pleased. About two years ago, we were recommended by a friend to the Oxford Learning center for our daughter who was starting grade 3 and struggling to keep up with the French immersion program. We tried a private French tutor to help her with her homework, but little progress was made and her confidence was rapidly decreasing in class. The instructors at Oxford Learning gave her an assessment and decided that in order to build her confidence and get better results in school, she would need a stronger foundation to build upon. Through bi-weekly sessions and well-designed lesson plans, our daughter was able to catch up and is now not only getting much better grades but is more confident in her abilities. Throughout my experience, I found that they helped me gain confidence in my competencies and build valuable skills that couldto transfer and use in my university studies. They were also very flexible and quick to adapt based on what I needed, including extra math and chemistry help.
