Education Coordinator
Hi, I’m Dana, the Education Coordinator at Oxford Learning Leaside. I hold a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from the University of Waterloo, where I developed a passion for understanding how people learn and grow. In my role, I’m dedicated to helping students reach their full academic potential while fostering a love of learning.
Outside of education, I’m deeply passionate about the arts, especially old movies and classic music. When I’m not curating playlists or watching films, you can often find me on a rock-climbing wall, challenging myself to new heights. I love bringing creativity, enthusiasm, and encouragement to both my personal and professional life.

French/Elementary Teacher
Hi there! My name is Cassidy, and I joined the Oxford Learning team in March 2022. Currently, I am pursuing an Honours degree in Philosophy at York University, with aspirations to further my education in law. Having been a student at Oxford Learning, I possess a firsthand understanding of the confidence and essential skills it fosters in its learners, encouraging them to become both avid and active participants in their education.
At Oxford Learning, my aim transcends the traditional role of a tutor. I strive to be a supportive mentor and friend to my students, genuinely caring for each individual who joins me, whether we're engaging face-to-face in the centre or connecting through Zoom. Beyond Oxford Learning, I am deeply passionate about studying artificial intelligence's ethical implications. I'm equally an avid baker and take great pride in being the best aunt possible to my wonderful niece and four nephews.

Math/Science Teacher
My name is Peter, and I am one of the math and science tutors at Oxford Learning Leaside. I completed my Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics and Engineering at Queen’s University and have since worked in a variety of software development roles. I am currently developing an independent video game, titled Espionage Activity, set to release later this year.
My objective with students is primarily to help them build confidence and get excited about the STEM fields. I believe any child can excel in math and science if given an environment where they can ask questions, experiment, and make mistakes.

Math/Physics Teacher
Hi, my name is Brian Vaz. I've been fortunate enough to be able to tutor at Leaside Oxford Learning since early 2006, with a bit of a break during the COVID-19 period.
I mainly focus on Math and Physics, and I look forward to the opportunity to teach Computer Science whenever possible, as that was my undergraduate degree from York University. I am grateful to have had the opportunity throughout my career to apply my skills and learnings to solve real-life problems wherever I work.
I enjoy bringing my diverse work experience to my tuition sessions to enlighten the students on the application of what they learn whenever they ask, "When would I ever use that...?!"
I have met some wonderful people throughout my life who have been key to my growth and development, and I take advantage of every opportunity I get to "pay it forward".
I believe that we don't need to know the answers to every problem in the world, but we need to be resourceful and curious enough to pursue them.
My passions are electronic music, movies and cars (at least driving them), and I love spending time with my family now expanded to 4 beautiful dogs!

Hi! I'm a graduate of the University of Toronto with a focus on math and computer science. While at the university, I had the chance to have both classes and volunteer opportunities focusing on STEM education. As a tutor, I find a balance between answering specific student questions and teaching more holistic learning strategies. As a hobby, I enjoy doing competition-style math questions, having written contests in high school and throughout my undergrad. In my free time, I enjoy video games, manga, and video essays.

Hi! My name is Kaiya Dancey, and I am thrilled to be one of the teachers at Oxford Learning Leaside. I am a third-year University student studying at Glendon Campus of York University. I am currently working toward receiving a bilingual bachelor of arts degree in honours psychology. Once obtaining my degree, I plan to attend a teacher’s college for primary/junior in order to become an elementary school teacher. Over the years, I have acquired experience working in childcare and education in many diverse settings and jobs. Whether it was volunteering at daycare programs, taking co-op placements in elementary school classrooms, or working as a monitor at an overnight language camp, teaching French as a second language in Montreal, I have always had a love for teaching and encouraging young students to reach their full potential! Some fun facts about me are that I play on a volleyball team in my free time and that I know how to play the tenor saxophone!
