As a new mother with a Bachelor of Honours Degree from Trent University and an emphasis in teacher education, I am committed to helping students achieve their academic and cognitive goals. Over the past eight years working for Oxford Learning, I have attained new skills and experiences to help in my role as Director of Education. I enjoy working together with both parents and students to ensure they receive the best possible program. I am committed to ensuring students are in a safe environment where they feel confident, motivated, and most importantly, inspired. In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my son, reading books and enjoying free time with my family and friends.

I am a graduate of the University of Toronto, majoring in Human Biology and Psychology and gained my B.Ed at the University of Western Ontario. I enjoy working with students both as a teacher and in a social capacity, having strong interests in youth advocacy and human rights. As a teacher, I am interested in inspiring students to love learning, both inside and outside school. I enjoy building relationships with students and providing them with learning skills that will last a lifetime. I believe creating an engaging and challenging learning experience for all students is essential for fostering personal growth. Through the Oxford curriculum and strategies, I am ultimately interested in giving students the foundation for success in all types of learning.

I recently obtained my Bachelor of Medical Sciences degree from the University of Western Ontario with a minor in French Language and Translation. During my time as an Undergraduate student, I used tutoring as a means of helping out others, while continuing to learn. I tutored students from first to third year in courses such as Calculus, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, French, and more. I came to admire my role as a tutor because my students valued me and I liked knowing that I played a part in helping them achieve their goals. Having had tutors and enhanced learning classes up until University, I appreciate the benefits of having a tutor by your side, helping you build your foundation and ensuring you understand a concept. I mainly work with junior French students and High School students in subjects such as Math and the Sciences.

As a teacher at Oxford Learning, my hope is to inspire a love of learning with every child that I work with. I believe in understanding students’ learning styles and emphasizing students’ strengths to help support them as confident learners. A self-professed lifelong learner, I have completed my Bachelors of Education at the University of Toronto (OISE), as well as my Masters in Education at the University of Ottawa. I speak French fluently, and have been lucky enough to apply my knowledge of the language in a variety of geographic locations, such as Ottawa, Toronto, Quebec, France and Geneva, Switzerland. I am happy that Oxford Learning gives me the opportunity to continue to share the French language with my students, and most importantly, to help all students succeed. 

I am an experienced UK trained educator with a B.Ed. from the University of North London. I have always been passionate about education and supporting learners of all ages to be the best that they can be. I believe in success for all through effective practice that focuses on improving skills by utilizing teaching strategies that support and explain concepts. I have worked in a diverse range of educational communities and love it when students achieve their goals and are successful.

I completed my teaching degree, as well as Special Education, at OISE. I bring forth teaching experience from schools in PDSB and TDSB, as well as private schools. Through my teaching career, I have had the amazing opportunity to work with several teaching and learning styles including students with special needs. I aim to assist students in achieving their personal best, and for them to do this with a smile. Celebrating student success and commitment to lifelong learning is something I strive to achieve in every teaching/learning moment. In every class, I aim to create a safe, student-centered learning environment that not only engages the students, but also allows them to contribute to, and reflect on the learning goals.

I completed my Bachelor of Education at the University of Ottawa through their on-site program. I have enjoyed working at Oxford Learning because I have gained more experience working with ESL and JK/SK students.

I have completed my Bachelor of Arts Degree from York University and have completed my Bachelor of Education at the primary/junior level. I have also completed two additional qualification courses in ESL and Kindergarten. I have been working at Oxford Learning for a year now and have thoroughly enjoyed my experience of helping students foster skills of lifelong learning and striving to become their personal best. Some of the things I enjoy doing in my spare time include spending time with my family and friends, playing sports, and reading.
