I was born in Dublin, Ireland and moved to Canada in Grade 9. I lived in Pickering, Ontario until Grade 12 and then moved to Niagara-on-the-Lake. I came to London to attend University and I’ve been here ever since :) My background is in teaching with an early childhood specialty. I’ve worked with Oxford Learning in many different capacities since 1999. I’ve been here in Byron since 2004. Oxford Learning is the perfect fit as I get to work with students of all ages. It’s my dream job. In my spare time I love to hang out with my husband and two puppies, read, watch movies and go to the gym. I also love to travel (particularly to Ireland to visit my family). Oxford Learning’s mission is to help students reach their highest potential :) It’s great to have such a fun and rewarding career.

I was born in Galt, Ontario. I grew up in several small communities as my father was a bank manager and we were transferred approximately every five years. Places I have lived include: Galt, Drumbo, Chapleau, Teeswater, Mount Forest, Mississauga, Waterloo, Hamilton and finally London. I attended the University of Waterloo and received my Bachelor of Environment Studies with a major in Geography. I was interested in the environment and was inspired by my high school geography teacher. In my spare time I enjoy reading, gardening, spending time at the cottage, canoeing and playing board games. I have worked at Oxford Learning since September 2001. I enjoy working here because I learn something new every day. I also get a great deal of pleasure out of helping students achieve their goals :)

I grew up on a farm in Kerwood, Ontario. I attended high school at SDCI in Strathroy, and after a one-year Rotary Youth Exchange to Brazil, moved onto UWO, where I completed a degree in French Language and Linguistics with a Minor in Music. What I love most is that learning a language opens you up to an entirely new culture; language is the key! In my spare time I like reading, playing music, learning about computers and spending time with my family and friends. I love teaching because there is no greater reward than seeing a student’s face light up when they finally understand that frustrating concept, or when they get excited about what they’ve just learned. Learning is lifelong and I think it’s important to love learning from a young age, so that it will continue throughout your entire life!

I’ve worked at Oxford Learning since 2007. I grew up in London. I attended UWO and received my degree in Biology. I received my Bachelor of Education from the University of Windsor. I have a love of Science and even more, a love of teaching. In my spare time I love watching movies, reading and spending time with family and friends. Working at Oxford Learning is great! We all learn in different ways and Oxford Learning provides an environment where teachers are able to adapt teaching methods and provide information in a way that will benefit each student. Most importantly I love working at Oxford Learning because it gives me a chance to learn from my students. Teachers are always learning, so who better to learn from then my students!

I went to high school at SDCI in Strathroy. I attained my Pre-Health Certificate at Fanshawe. I also attended Western University where I received my Bachelor of Arts, with a Major in Psychology. My first experience teaching at Oxford Learning was with the youngest students, Little Readers. Now I enjoy teaching the “older” kids. The best part of my day are the smiles as skills are gained and confidence grows. In my spare time I enjoy artistic activities such as drawing and painting, and playing with furry friends at home :)

I grew up in London, and went to the University of Western Ontario, where I received my undergrad degree in Medical Sciences and Psychology. I received a Masters degree from Western in Clinical Anatomy, as well as my Bachelor of Education from Althouse. I have always had a love for Science, and teaching, which have contributed to the anatomical education research I am currently working on in my PhD studies. I love teaching because I enjoy seeing a student’s face light up when they understand that difficult concept, or when they are excited about something they’ve just learned. Learning is a lifelong process for everyone, and I learn so much from the students at Oxford. I really enjoy having the opportunity to work with each student, to share my knowledge and help them to achieve their goals. In my spare time I love to read, play the piano, and spend time with my friends and family.

I grew up in Komoka and went to Medway High School. After high school I attended Brock University, where I completed both my Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Education degree. Last spring, I moved back to Komoka and recently became a teacher for the Thames Valley District School Board. I have worked many summers as a camp counselor and camp director. In my spare time, I love to: figure skate, read, and go swimming and boating at my cottage. I love building relationships with my students because of the laughs, and smiles we get to share. I love when students can discover that learning is fun, and when students can connect to what they are learning
